الوصف
The GE IS200ERIOH1ACB Exciter Regulator I/O Board (ERIO) is a vital interface module in the EX2100 Excitation Control System, which is part of General Electric’s Mark VI Speedtronic turbine control platform.
This board manages the primary input/output signals specifically related to the exciter regulator control functions.
⚙️ Primary Function and Role
The ERIO board serves as the central I/O interface for both the system’s internal signals and the external customer signals needed to maintain precise generator excitation.
- Signal Interface: It acts as the intermediary between the high-speed DSPX (Digital Signal Processor) controller and the various terminal boards that connect to the physical wiring.
- Customer I/O: It processes signals coming from external terminal boards, such as:
- EPCT (Exciter PT/CT Board): Generator voltage and current feedback.
- ECTBG2 (Exciter Contact Terminal Board): Digital status inputs and outputs (contact I/O).
- System I/O: It interfaces with internal system components for control and protection, including the ERDD (Exciter Regulator Dynamic Discharge) board and the EROC (Exciter Regulator Options Card).
💡 Configuration and Redundancy
The ERIO board is designed to support both basic and fault-tolerant exciter configurations:
- Simplex (Single Controller): The ERIO board is mounted in the main Exciter Regulator Backplane (ERBP) slot.
- Redundant (Triple Modular Redundant – TMR): In TMR systems, three ERIO boards are used (one for each controller: M1, M2, and C). These boards are attached to the ERBP (for M1) and the ERRB (Exciter Regulator Redundant Backplane) for the M2 and C controllers, ensuring continuous, fault-tolerant operation.
🛠️ Key Hardware Details
